The property features a blend of modern amenities and traditional architecture, including an old kitchen bar with a real fire during winter. Situated close to cultural landmarks like Claymills Victorian Pumping Station, the hotel provides easy access to local attractions. A unique aspect of the hotel is its lively bar atmosphere, which may add to the experience but could also affect room tranquility.

Rooms

Each room at Hilton House includes a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee-making facilities, and complimentary toiletries. Breakfast is served daily, featuring a hearty full English meal, assorted juices, cereals, and a selection of teas and coffees. Continental breakfasts are available on weekdays, while the lounge bar offers snacks and drinks throughout the day. A Sunday carvery is also offered, enhancing the dining experience.

I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were quite separated from the busy bar, but the service was excellent during the wedding breakfast. However, there were some untidy areas around the hotel due to construction. Overall, it was a decent stay with some ups and downs.

The hotel is situated directly above the bar, which makes it quite noisy until closing time. The room was right over the bar where the music was excessively loud, making it difficult for our little girl to sleep. Despite the noise issue, the service was accommodating and helpful, lessening the stress of the situation. The location halfway up the wall was special, but the food quality was disappointing with off sausages at breakfast. The dining experience was average with limited options available. Overall, a mixed experience with some drawbacks despite helpful service.

The hotel is a bit of a mixed bag. The rooms, although slightly far from the noise, were comfortable and nice for a relaxing stay. The service was excellent, with friendly and accommodating staff. However, the location had its downsides, including noise from the bar area and some tardiness in service. The dining experience had its exceptional moments but also some shortcomings. Overall, it offers a decent experience with room for improvement.
